A new way of working...as the saying goes "necessity is the mother of invention"! And during the pandemic many of us have 'embraced' working together online, including when it comes to developing, reviewing and refreshing strategy. This has enabled a more agile approach. We have learnt that we don't have to traipse off to a resort to address strategic challenges and opportunities. Breaking the strategy development process into shorter and more focussed online sessions has worked well. Sometimes even better! We have been able to explore in an initial session, reflect over the next week or so, and then come back having allowed our thinking to incubate. A more iterative and agile way of working. So, when planning how best to review and refresh your strategy consider how you can use a mix of face to face, virtual and even hybrid (given border restrictions).
